Sponsoring Churches
The Auburn Interfaith Food Closet is sponsored by
18 local area churches. There are two levels of sponsorship: Participating and Associate. Each sponsoring congregation participates by contributing food, funds, and volunteer time. The difference between a participating church and an associate church is that associate churches do not provide a representative from their congregation to the Board
of Directors. Participating churches provide up to two representatives from their congregation to the Board. The Board of Directors sets strategy and guidelines
for the Food Closet.

SOUPER BOWL OF CARING - February 6, 2011
Bayside Auburn held a "Souper Bowl of Caring" in the weeks leading up to the February 6, 2011, Super Bowl. Two bins identifying each league allowed individuals to cast their "soup" vote for their favorite team. Although the contest was very close, the Greenbay Packers bin was declared the winner in the Bayside Auburn vote. This turned out to be true in the actual Super Bowl as well! All soup donated was given to the Auburn Interfaith Food Closet.
