All money received (one-time donations as well as periodic donations) are greatly appreciated.
The Food Closet spends 89% of its money buying food so only 11% is used to pay rent, utilities, insurance, etc. Of course, these things are important too! All staff time is voluntary. Food donations alone are not sufficient to provide the amount of food needed.
Your contribution allows the Food Closet to purchase perishable food such as milk, fresh vegetables, meat and eggs to make up a nutritionally balanced meal. It is also used to purchase non-perishable foods when food donations are not sufficient to cover the amount needed.
